4711765_1Rebecca has specialized in medical malpractice cases since 1991. However, unlike most attorneys specializing in this area of law, she has represented plaintiffs and defended defendants in such cases. Her experience working in firms which represent patients and/or patients’ families has been enriched and enhanced by her experience working in firms which defend medical care providers in medical negligence cases. As a result, she understands the analysis required by both sides in contemplating the probable outcome of a medical negligence case. She is devoted to her clients. She views them not just as clients whose cases must be handled, but as people whose lives have been devastated by injuries caused as a result of medical negligence. Medical negligence cases require an attorney to have an understanding as to the impact the injuries have on their clients and their clients’ families’ daily lives. At the conclusion of most cases, it is difficult for Rebecca to say goodbye to clients and no longer be a part of their lives. Yet, she shares with the clients a feeling of relief and satisfaction after a case resolves and the clients are able to move forward with their lives – however changed those lives may be. On a personal note, Rebecca enjoys reading, sailing, bicycling and traveling with her husband, Dan.

"In over 25 years of practice on the defense side of malpractice cases, Jeff Mitchell is the attorney I fear most. He takes very good cases. Jeff has the medicine and the applicable literature down cold. He is without a doubt the best cross-examiner I have ever seen. I have paid his clients a lot of money over the years."
